Gerard E. Job, MD, Medical Director
Dr. Job is Board Certified in Emergency Medicine and holds a sub-specialty in Emergency Medical Services. He is currently employed at Jackson Memorial Hospital as an attending physician in the Emergency Department and also serves the Department’s Liaison for Disaster and Emergency Preparedness. As the Medical Director for FIRST RESPONSE, he is responsible for overseeing all aspects of our medical training and ensuring that graduates meet State of Florida and National Standard Curriculums.

Jason Marquez, EMT-P, President/CEO
Jason is CEO of First Response and was born and raised in New York City. He began his career in EMS in 2000 with the New York City Emergency Medical Services. Jason is known for his unique teaching skills that can be attributed to his tenure at Westchester, LaGuardia and Manhattan Community Colleges. Jason moved to Florida in 2004 and has continued his career in the EMS field, currently serving as an EMS Captain/Paramedic/Preceptor with Rural Metro Ambulance Services and holds instructor certifications in ACLS, AMLS, BLS, CPR, PALS, and PHTLS.

Christina Rivera, MSN, RN Director of Nursing
Christina Rivera is a Registered Nurse and has been in the healthcare industry for over 16 years. She started her career as an Emergency Medical Technician and that is where she uncovered her passion for providing patient care. She obtained her Associate of Science Degree in Nursing from Valencia College, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from South University and Master of Science in Nursing at Western Governors University. Christina has spent most of her career as an emergency room nurse and as a nurse leader. She recently changed her career focus to education and feels strongly that effective education of the nursing profession is essential to the future of healthcare. Christina lives in Saint Cloud with her husband of thirty-four years and they love to travel and spend quality time with family. |
Lourdes Marquez, Accreditation Specialist
Lourdes is a partner at First Response Training Group in Orlando, Florida. First Response Training Group is a training facility providing superior education in the field of Emergency Medicine. Their mission is to give their students the best quality of prehospital patient care training in the community. Ms. Marquez also served as a partner for Orlando Medical Institute, an emergency medicine training facility. Ms. Marquez has over 25 years of senior-level management, advertising and marketing experience. She has also developed training program development and budget oversight. She brings many years of management experience. Ms. Marquez returned to New York in January 2012 as the Director, Local Broadcast for Media Storm New York and S. Norwalk, CT., a strategic media and marketing agency. She is responsible for overseeing all local broadcast planning and media buying for the agency. Ms. Marquez’ splits her time between the agency’s New York and S. Norwalk offices. Beginning in 1989, she worked for 15 years as senior vice president, director of local broadcast at Horizon Media, Inc. In this position, Ms. Marquez was responsible for leading the senior management team’s successful transition efforts for Horizon Media’s purchase of Media General. She also developed operation procedures for various departments within the company and supervised implementation of marketing strategies and integrated marketing programs. She also played an integral role in the recruitment and training efforts for a new Los Angeles office. |
Antonio Renta, B.B.A., Paramedic, EMS Program Director, Lead Paramedic, EMS Instructor
Tony has spent the past 15 years in emergency medical services and obtained his paramedic license in 2008. In October 2017 Tony retired from Orange County Fire Rescue at the rank of Battalion Chief - Paramedic to pursue an entrepreneurial medical education career. He received his Bachelor’s Degree from Waldorf College and graduated with highest honors Summa Cum Laude. Tony holds a state of Florida Fire Officer and Instructor certification and has provided certification training to more than 2000 healthcare professionals. Tony was the 2013 state of Florida Paramedic Instructor of the Year awarded by the Florida Association of EMS educators. He has provided lead instruction or direct oversight to more than 20 EMS programs (EMT/Paramedic). He is also a senior training center faculty member of the American Heart Association with credentials to provide instruction of all AHA provider & instructor courses

Victor Quinones DMSc, PA-C, CHSE, EMT-P: Assistant Medical Director
Victor has been a practicing Physician Assistant in Emergency Medicine for 15 years. He brings to us his knowledge of medicine with over 20 years of clinical experience in the medical field. He still maintains his certification as a Paramedic and EMT. Dr.Quinones earned his Doctorate of Medical Science degree with a concentration in Education and Leadership from A.T. Still University of Health Sciences. He has achieved the rank of Associate Professor at numerous universities. Victor also is a Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE). He has served on the Disaster Medical Assistance Team during the rescue efforts after Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans and Mississippi. He also worked as a Critical Care Paramedic for inter-facility hospital EMS. Victor has also participated in various medical mission trips including Mexico with Habitat for Humanity.He brings multi level knowledge and his drive towards education and leadership are exemplary. Victor is constantly advocating to implement innovative learning tools in and out of the classroom setting.
